if you want a home remedy that does not require medicine take 3 whole cloves and chew them just a little and keep them on the gum where the tooth it that is hurting if that is not numbing it use more cloves then

whole cloves can be found at a local grocery store if you don't already have them they are in the spices section and they can have a strong numbing effect

call a dentist for a scheduled check up

if you have braces maybe the tooth is moving, call your dentist if it keeps on hurting you could have bacteria in it causing an infection I hope you feel better I know a tooth ache is annoying.

It is probably the tooth moving from the braces, try taking some pain reliever and wax up.
