I personally think it's a little weird just because I remember what I thought when I was 16.
But to each his own. If he's a mature 14 year old and you really think that you would hit it off - then go for it!

A lot of boys who are 16 date girls who are 14. You know you need to make sure this will not cause conflict for his folks and also YOUR brother. Another thing to remember is that he might behave in the same fashion as your brother....because he is younger he may be a little immature.

yes, it's weird, not beause of the age differnce but ewww.. he is your brother's friend and 14 is not a cool younger guy age to date. When I read that you were 16 yrs old, i thought you would be dating a 15 year old who is just a few months shy of his 16th birthday.

If you like him, then you should give him a chance. I went through the same thing- I started dating this guy and broke up with him, because I was afraid of what everyone would think of him being younger than me. It was the biggest mistake I could have made. He was sweet, smart, cute, fun to be with, and most of all, he really cared about me and treated me good. He might have been youger than me, but because of my immature insecurities, I missed out on a really good thing. If your guy is anything like mine was, then don't let him get away!

oh my god,im the same with my boyfriend hes 14 and im 16 hes really sweet and acts and look like hes 17. i know some of my friends that have problems with us being together but after 3 months of us being together it got to the point when age does not matter.

the age doesnt matter...i was 13 and dated someone 16 its no big deal....if a guy can date a younger girl than a girl can date a younger guy...it doesnt matter about the age...its all about the love between the two of you

It depends on how you feel.. i could never date anyone younger then me b/f i think guys are way more immature then girls the way it is, let alone that they are younger! But if you are comfortable with him and you like him then it shouldn't matter!

No, it is not wierd. You should however, take into considerations his maturity level though. My husband is 2 years younger than me.
