I took a taxi last week. New fee from airport to downtown is 30 euro. The fee is "flat" and you can check it in the advice on the dashboard inside the taxi.

And 20 E. would be a standard cab fee for that distance. Get a METERED taxi, tho.
But why not take a 9.50 E. train ride to the heart of the city -Termini Station- and grab a taxi from there ? Faster and more comfy, too.

In Milano, the same trip would cost you your luggage, jewellry, wallet and fancy clothes. And your girlfriend would marry the driver's nephew.
