I have black(natural) and blonde(bleached) hair right now. I want to put pink into it, but i'm not sure how to go about doing it. Last time, I used something way cheap and it made my hair like orange and red. YUCK. I want it to be BRIGHT pink. Help? Also, do you guys know of any product that would not fade tooo fast, and wouldn't turn out a totaly diffrent colour?

Go to Sallys Beauty Supply and ask for manic panic..they have pinks and reds. Hot hot pink and Vampire red comes on really good. The vampire red one looks more pink then red so you can try that..thing is they are semi permanent, they dont damage your hair though. They will fade in about a week and a half. Artificial colors especially reds in em fade super quick. When you put the manic panic in, comb through it to make sure all your hair is coated, put a plastic bag over it and let it stay in iyour hair for a good 30 min with a little heat. Try to wash your hair in the tub/sink first before you take a shower and use warm to cool water because hot/really warm water will fade your color out even faster. It gets really messy and the dye will stain your tub/sink so have some comet and a bunch of towels handy.

I work at a beauty supply store, i'm no hairstylist, but i have dyed my hair before, my coworker has even dyed her hair hot pink. since you have dark hair, you would have to bleach it til it's platinum, not orange, try not to re-bleach your already bleached area. choose out a color that you really like make sure it's permanent, not semi-permanent (by the way, i heard manic panic doesn't stay that long, i could be wrong though). depending on how pink you want, leave it in for as long as you can. If you can take a saturday off, use it to keep it in there for as long as you can. sleep if you have to. when it's time to wash it out, rinse it until the water's clear. don't shampoo, only conditioner, that way the color will stay longer. If you want the color to stay for a while, go to a beauty supply store and see what they suggest for any type of shampoo or hair products that you can use to keep it in longer. I hope this helped, if all else fails, ask a hair stylist. Good luck!

My daughter did this as quickly as. Her organic hair shade is a medium brown. She bleached approximately 2 inches on the backside of her hair and used a great form of purple foodstuff coloring to get a purple tone. It did no longer final long by way of fact the foodstuff coloring is barely short-term so she then colored all of her hair black. i do no longer understand why people freak out approximately distinctive hair hues. it particularly is hair -- it particularly is decrease and improve returned and dyed and dyed returned. enable people be expressive!

I did that awhile ago. When I went to Sallys they pointed me in all the right directions. If your hair is dark you may need to bleach it first. They'll tell you what you need. I used "Punkys" or something like that and it lasted for about 6 months then started fading.

My hair turned a bright pink once, when i used egg dye for easter in my bleached hair. I put all the colors into one bowl and dipped my hair into it. then i rinsed it out, and it turned purple. I put red food dye in my hair, and holy crap i couldn't wash it out for nothing! you might want to be really careful about it though because easter egg dye is quite permanent, so test a strand of hair on it before going about it.
