This definately sounds like something caused by overuse. If it is arthritis, you should have pain when doing other simular motions with your fingers. Glucosamin with chondroiten and MSN do help to some degree. The latter two are actually more important than the glucosamine. Shark cartilage shows little/no significance over placibo, because of its content of chondroitin is too low for much effect.
What feels really good on sore fingers is a parrathin bath, you should be able to find one in Target or a simular store. Call around. The parrathin used in physical therapy clinics, with the aloe vera, is really good. Be shure to wrap your hands in towels, with plastic bag over the towel.
An ergonomic evaluation, as described in an earlier answer to your question is important. Get evaluated by a doctor. A physical therapist can give good ergonomic advise, excercises and modallities once the problem is identified.

Ask your HSE co-ordinator to do a DSE (Display Screen Equipment) risk assessment. This should be done as a matter of course. Your work station may not be positioned correctly. This should determine what if anything can be done or if there are any health issues. If there are and this is a work related / created issue, your employer should help out with any costs for medicals involved

Good luck

You really should see your doctor because it sounds like you have arthritis. For the time being though, take some Advil or generic Ibuprofen. That should help with the pain and inflammation.

sounds like an RSI (Repetitive Strain Injury). You should see your boss about having a workplace assessment to make sure that your deskspace is set up correctly.
