You have a great point. The attacks on 9/11 were definitely a statement, and NOT a question, so the argument of "war is not the answer" is an invalid one.

And I wonder if vic felt that way the day we sat and watched our countrymen fall out of a burning skyscraper in NYC, and know that thousands were crushed when the buildings crumbled to the ground.

I believe we the American people, at least some of us, have to take a little bit of the responsibility for the government's decision to invade Iraq.
This decision to declare a war on terror and invade Iraq was made after a horrific terror attack on American soil.
I don't know about you, but I for one screamed for the blood of the guilty and so did alot of other people.
I believe the government felt this pressure placed on them by the American people to do something- to answer this attack with one of our own.
I am not saying the war on Iraq is justified or right or wrong, I'm just saying I really think the American government did the best they could at a time in our history that demanded action.

If 9/11 was a question, then explain this: http://video.google.com/videoplay?docid=-7218920724339766288&q=loose+change

And then explain to me why WTC 7 fell....don't be duped by the powers that be. They murdered thousands of innocents. Don't believe that they couldn't do it...remember the Gulf of Tonkin Incident which was the catalyst for Vietnam war.

We owe the victims a thorough investigation...not a senseless war.

yes war is NOT the answer. 9/11 is NOT a question it is a terrorist attack and not an act of war.

nope. It was far more. A declaration of war....a perfect tool to be utilized in restricting the rights of the citizens...a blunder of the gov't (if you believe their side) or a conspiracy from within and outside, to create this changed atmosphere of fear, terror and Orwellian principles (if you believe conspiracy theorists). Me, I take no opinion. It was a tragedy, that should have and could have been avoided. It was a wasted opportunity for the USG to truly take the lead and secure it citizenry. Above all else, it was a wake up call.

Yes 9/11 was meant to provoke U.S into some sort of response. & Alqaeda have gotten exactly that: The U.S Bogged down in Iraq with very limited ground forces. Trying to inflict losses on them.

War should only be entered into when you plan to win and not give a damn about how many you kill, how much damage you cause. If we had fought WW2 like we are trying to fight Iraq and AAfghanistan we would still be fighting.
