Honestly CANNOT STAND THEM!!!! Years of working at vets,grooming, and shelters have made me never want to see a Chow again!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I like chows, I just don't trust them. If properly trained and socialized they are great with their families but they don't do well with strangers, which can be a problem with vets and groomers. I'm a dog groomer and I charge extra for chows just because they are very unpredictable.

Omg i love chows! I have one and she looks exactly like a big bear!! I dont know why people think their so mean because she is a sweet heart

Mine was a mix, Chow/Border Collie and the most beautiful. loving, perfect buddy ever. Had him for 15 years and I just lost him in May.

Yes! I think chows are like little teddy bears. We used to raise and sell them. I heard a lot of people complain they are vicious. Ours were so friendly and loving.

i do and i have one and her name is Cinnamon and she is 7 1/2 yrs old. shes my baby. and out of the other 5 people who lives with me she picks me as her owner. shes a great dog. i love her to death ive have her for 6 1/2 years. and when we got her she was found out side of this persons house in the woods and she had 21 ticks on her and oil(like for cars, etc). i was so happy when we got her and still am.

I hate to generalize, but the couple I have known have tended to be a little bit nippy. Other than that I guess they are o.k.

Ditto what Torbay said. I don't trust them. Way too unpredictable and give no warning when they are going to bite.
