I've read both the Idiot's and Dummies books on Buddhism. I find one better than the other - I forget which - but both were very informative, and I found them a good starting place to understand the concept of it without getting too deep into one type or another.

Go to Goggle and type in the religion your interested in. Many websites will show up. Pick whatever one touches you and check it out. Often while viewing a website there will be links that will catch your eye........follow them :-) Enjoy your search.

Most older Traditional Asians, and by older I mean 60's or older, are either Buddhists or Confucianisms, and a good source for study.

besides buddhanet.net you can go to www.the daily enlightenment.com check it out you will be amaze with what you can find there,there are loads and loads of gems for the right person,may Buddha be with you[PS it is to note that Buddhism is not a religion it is an education,buddhist respect the Buddha as our teacher]
