There is this guy (like that is an original opener...) whom I have known for the last six months. During the last month, he started flirting with me, and now I with him. I like him. I had a conversation with him once and I almost got to the point of asking what his religion was, but it didn't seem to be good time. Everytime I am around him, it doesn't seem like a good time. We've never dated, but we may. To me, it is very important that the guy (any guy that I consider to go out with) be of my same religion. So, how can I get around to asking a question like that?

You are just going to have to ask, as this is a very personal thing most people do not talk about their religious beliefs

Why let religion make a difference?

if you like him hopefully religion won't be the reason you don't date him. but from your question you seem to communicate real well. just paraphrase what you wrote for your question.
