I've tried hitting it with a book and applying pressure and I don't want to go to the Dr to drain it but it hurts!

My brother had a ganglion (I think that's how you spell it) cyst on his wrist and he went to the doctor, had a simple outpatient surgery and it never came back. I would really suggest that you also see your doctor and have it taken care of.

Best wishes! :)

It may not just be a cyst. That is what we thought my DH had and it turned out to be cancer!!!! Go to the DR!

I had one before. It will just go away on its own. Stop hitting it though, or it'll never stop hurting.
