Nothing will ever shake them. The evidence that exists right now is very convincing, but they don't want to hear it. They didn't sit down with a totally non-biased mind and determine that evolution is false after weighing all sides and looking at all the evidence; they just don't WANT it to be true. And someone who doesn't WANT something to be true isn't going to believe in that thing, no matter how much you try to convince them.

They don't even know what evolution IS. Most still think that "we come from monkeys" and it has something to do with the origins of existence. Why would even MORE evidence for the fact of evolution change their mind? They have a warped perception and until they correct THAT, no amount of evidence matters.

Nothing would change my opinion about evolution. I used to be a hardcore evolutionist for 20 years. I knew all the "arguments" - until I watched a 15-hour seminar on Creation Science, and I began to see which side was really telling the truth. Did you know that there are about 5,000 hard scientific facts that completely destroy the theory of evolution and support the idea that the Earth is young and that there was a worldwide Flood, just like the Bible said? Obviously I can't list them all here, but you need to go and read the book "The Evolution Cruncher". It will blow your mind.

As a fundamentalist Christian I believe that evolution happens on and species specific scale (as Darwin defined it). It the misapplication of the theory to try and answer questions about origins that I have a problem with.

Understand the audience before asking a question.

bc_munkee,
Well, just to let you know, there are a lot of fudies out there. I am not one of them, a Christian nonetheless. You might mean Christian fundies, Islamic fundies, or Evolutionist fundies. They are all religions with theories about how things came to be the way they are.

As far as what would change MY non-fundie Christian view about evolution, I think that it would take a bloody miracle. lol

Evidence is not what they require.

They need psychiatric help. It's very difficult to prove something is a delusion, to someone that is deluded by it.

It's like trying to tell someone their version of black is white. Not easy at all...

Easy. When God calls me up and says, "By George, I think theyve got it!", I'll accept evolution.

Why do you take it upon yourself to change people's beliefs? Live and let live. Life's too short to concern yourself with such minorities
