Open any folder on your computer, and go to Tools->Folder options.

On the file types page there will be a list of all the file types and what program is used by default to load them. You can click one and go to it's properties to change the program.

Just go through and make sure .mp3, .wma, .wav, etc are all set to real player.

Find some different file (for instance a doefile.avi).
1. Click with the right button of the mouse,
2. Scroll down to open with.
3. Choose Program
4. You will see the different programs who are already associated with the extension, if you didn't find the program you like, use the browse button to go to where is stored the exe (for Real Player, it's in c:\programs files\real player\realplayer.exe)
5. Click the one you want to use
6. Click on : Always use the selected... in order to have the same program each time.

Done... to repeat to each extension, you want to associated, but you can also use the settings menu within real player to redefine association with most common formats.

Go under start and look by or near control panel look for set programs and access defaults then go to customize and change it there.
