I have one and it is driving me nuts. I have tried everything I can think of to stop it from twitching.

Thanks for the answers so far - but like I have said, I have tried everything including sleeping and eating bananas (although I wasn't eating them to cure this problem admittedly).

Some times I can be talking to someone face-to-face and my mind can be pre-occupied with the conversation and my eyelid can start twitching. It's really odd - and kind of embarrassing.

i have this quite regularly but have never thought to question it...i tend to just poke it with my finger and then after a while it stops and i forget about it until the next time. i will be keeping an eye (the one not twitching) on this question though in case there is a cure that is more effective

Lack of sleep and potassium definciencies will cause that too. Believe it or not, pay attention to when you have tics and twitches in your body at any time or any place on your body. I get them around my eyes and around my mouth quite frequently and my doctor told me to keep a record of sorts as to how often and when they happen. I asked him why and he told me those are actually a type of seizure. It blew me away. Then I had a Grand Mahl and didn't wake up for 8 days. Look to your body's little signs because it may be telling you there is more wrong than you think or maybe not, it is just a little tic. Be on the safe side and tell your doctor. If it will not stop, make sure to mention it to your doctor and make sure to get some sleep or if you have a muscle relaxer, that might help. Good luck.

it ought to be which you're very drained or under pressure. on each occasion i'm getting under pressure at paintings or stress starts off to mount, my eye lids improve into under pressure and initiate twitching or fluttering too. attempt using heat compresses over them or locate the thank you to take a seat down back in the process the evenings. If the twitching maintains or turns into painful ask your ophthalmologist. in any different case, i would not project too plenty approximately it. jointly because it particularly is totally nerve-racking to have your eye lids continuously twitching/fluttering, it regularly isn't something to be demanding approximately. wish this enables! sense extra helpful :)

Most likely it's lack of sleep. Other possibility are stress and playing video games where the screen moves quickly. All of these can be alleviated by taking a short nap.

Stop thinking about it!
As soon as you can take your mind off of it, it will stop twitching.

I hate it when that happens!
Sometimes I find if I can distract myself and think about something different it will stop by itself, like when you have hiccups.
Try watching TV or something to make you think of something else..
