Alot of people in this day and age do all sorts of irrational things towards their ex to show that love does still exist, but the
best way, the only way is to tell him either in a letter or face to face. In person is so much better because you are able to see his reaction and sincerity, and he will be able to see yours.
A little extra advice; based on my own experiences it's all good to ask here but I have found that by asking advice to even your closest friends could result in a not so happy outcome, there are always haters in the crowd who love to meddle and you don't need
any negativity, just to be on the safe side, you know? good luck...

Talk to him and let him know how you feel. Use letters for an example. Send him a note.

by telling him that you still love him and if he don't believe you or he don't love you back then leave him alone because you can't make nobody love you.
