If you didnt work together then I would say go for it.
But if you two got together and then broke up later on down the road it would make working together very hard and cause bad feeling towards each other

First... is he married, have kids, etc? Find out. If not, go for it. But remember... working with someone you're dating can be tricky. Especially if you break up. GOOD LUCK
