The lowest priced Digital camera you're liable to get your hands on that is actually any good is probably the Fuji Finepix A345 + A350 (most likely a "reconditioned" example, either via an Amazon New/Used seller, or direct from Fuji themselves)....... I personally use the A345

Then there is also the Fuji Finepix A400 (one brought in to replace the above 2?).. which is supposed to be pretty good, and priced probably as low as you want to go when looking at buying a digital camera

or the next one up, the Fuji Finepix A500

All Digital camera's are rechargeable....... there are those which come with one's specially designed for that brand's cameras, which are liable to leave you up a creek without a paddle when it finally wears out and the battery has been discontinued.

Then there are ones which use regular AA / AAA batteries.... which I prefer, as your choice of battery is more flexible..... and they're available in high capacity rechargeable versions...... I've got some 2100mAh batteries in my Fuji A345, and they last virtually ages compared to standard batteries (some barely last long enough to fire off enough shots to fill a 16MB memory card)...... and they come in higher capacities than that.

I'm sure a lot of people are going to ask you to define "cheap" because it is a relative term.

You can purchase a Philips Wearable Digital Camera for less than $25 (US) that has a built-in rechargeable battery, but the camera has such poor photo quality I can't see anyone using it for very long. (I own one and know how bad it is.)

All digital cameras can be rechargeable. Even the ones that use AA batteries can use rechargeable NiMH ones.

I consider a digital camera cheap if it is less than $130 (US). I own two Canon PowerShot cameras (A410 and A430) that were both bought for $129.95. They both use AA batteries and I have a bag full of NiMH rechargeable ones. I've very pleased with the photo quality of these two cameras and like that I never have to worry about not having fresh batteries since AA's are available everywhere.

The three terms Cheap, digital, and camera almost never exist together. Sorry....

My grandma has gotten disposable ones at CVS, they are around $20, but like it was said previous, the quality isn't there.
