This nations job and obligation is to its legal citizens first, then if there is anything left ,to help other less fortunate country's,do so..We do not have any right at all to take anything from this nations legal Americans and give it to illegal aliens..Its ludicrous to even think that way.Its an insult to all Americans.Take care of Americans first.Always

How about a hand up, instead of a handout? That truly is 'the american way'. Send 2 engineers to Mexico, look for people that can and are willing to volunteer their time for the honest betterment of Mexico. Build roads. Build hospitals. If they do enough of it, and they finally realize that they can do for themselves, and stop getting fed a bunch of baloney by their own govt. etc., then they'll pick it up and run with it from there.
Mexico, and other countries, should tend their own. A great way to get that going would be to encourage em to build more schools. Get their kids in school, learning to build stuff, fix stuff, and the problems will mysteriously vanish.
Also, let's have the border fence built, and discourage any further illegal immigration. People helping people to learn to help themselves...that's good stuff, right there. The best 'help' you can give someone in need is teach them how to meet their own needs. What amazes and surprises me is that the Catholics aren't building schools like mad in Mexico. That's where the problem is, that's where the schools need to be. C'mon catholics, buy a map! LOL

1) You should be here legally, if you want to be able to get state or government help.
2) If we had done a better job at patrolling our borders and spent a little money there, we would not be spending billions more now, on illegals and their health care, day care...ect.
3) If we were not spending the billions extra (illegal care) we would most certainly have the money to take care of our own needy (just as Canada does). Comes down to us!

I don't think that America has any intentions to give to either one. The reality is that if you are an illegal immigrant in this country you can't get any goverment handouts of any sort. Whether monetary or in forms of food or health care. The types of hoops you have to jump through to get any sort of goverment help now-a-days is extreme to be able to get any when you don't have the right type of documentation to prove that you are a US citizen or a legal alien, I have been through those hoops when neither of my jobs offered me health care. The reality is that if you are poor, it doesn't matter if you are documented or not, you still get scraps. People just like to argue about a piece of paper that differentiates you from someone else and somehow giving the documented person an elite status of some sort. I have known many more documented citizens that exploit the goverment hand-outs, healthcare, education system, etc. I know many kids my age that have kids just to get on welfare, housing, medical and food stamps and yes, they are all citizens of the United States and VERY, VERY able to work. They just choose not to because it's much easier to mooch. If Americans truly cared about their citizens, they wouldn't be shipping them off to foreign countries to die for our freedoms. Our freedoms are being taken away by the same people you vote for. You talk about education, educate yourself and meet and illegal immigrant sand look at the struggles they have to go for to put food on their table, and meet single WORKING mothers that can't afford to put their kids in child care and work at the same time. Make a change and change your narrow mind.

I hope you are asking the liberals and democrats this, as they are the ones who are sypathetic to their plight. Now that they have control in congress, they will make sure all the illegals are given amnesty and all the benefits we should be getting.

Heck no! It is our job to take care of our own. We have plenty of Americans that are starving here in our country, plenty who have no medical insurance. Let us take care of our own first.

No, each country needs to take care if its own. Mexico never will until the poor stand up to them, if they band togather in large numbers, they can win, but you have to start some place, and stop running. Years from now their grandkids would have a better country, and they would have their grandparents to thank .

America isn't supporting Mexico's Poor and Sick. If anyone in America is poor is because they want to be! You will never go to any other place and find free education other than America. If people don't want to go to school and take advantage of that then it's their fault they're poor. No I'm not talking about College...I'm talking about Middle School and High School in countries like Mexico you have to pay for books...they're not just handed to you like they are here. Therefore a lot of people drop out...but here..what is their excuse??

so heres my thooughts. Ii dont wanna pay for anyone who doesnt try, however, we make available for people in our country to get help. and if we dont help, who will? also, we say we should take care of our selves, but thing abotu it, do we really? when you see someone homeless do you just walk on by or offer them food? we're so ego set, its just saying we should help our own first, but we, individually, never will, the governement has to. I don't think we should become involved in other countries affairs.. but we have the means why not try?
