Hi. Thru taking medications on and off, and gaining weight quickly, then losing it quickly, I have a lot of excess skin in the inner thigh area.
It was only about 20lbs. I'm 44, never smoked.

I also have it on my face, the cheek area when you smile and downward from the eye. Not baggy wrinkles, but several new, long, wide wrinkles.

Are there any procedures at the dermatologist or not too drastic things at a plastic surgeon to get rid of this?
The derm. has mentioned a few, don't understand them exactly.
I don't want to go thru all of that if it doesn't really work, like trying tons of stuff over the counter that doesn't work.

I swim, but can't exercise a lot due to joint/back problems.
Some say you can't get rid of it, then I read you can improve it with massaging and squeezing it.

An online Dr said small amount of fat cells are trapped there, and if you massage these away the wrinkles with smooth out, and to drink a lot of water. Hasn't seemed to help a lot.

I would tell you that if you have more weight to lose, do that before seeking any treatment for your loose skin. Also, wait a little while, perhaps 3 months, maintaining your weight before any procedures because some of that skin will tighten up a little along the way. I lost over 100 lbs. and maintained it over 2 years. I had 4 Titian Laser Treatments on my face and neck and it really worked well. This procedure involves passing a laser over your face that heats up the underlayers of your skin and improves the collegen growth. It also cools off the outer skin layer so you don't get burned. It wasn't cheap, but I didn't want to do any extreme. As far as your body goes, lose all the weight you want before seeking any procedures. Godloveya.

The only way that I know to make them go away is to actually have a doctor cut the excess skin off, but I wouldn't recommend that if it is not a lot or if you plan on losing more weight. But as far as I know that is the only real solution.

Because your dermis has a exact quantity of elasticity to it. So for those who reap or shed weight too rapid the dermis can not alter rapid adequate. This is why persons get stretch marks and why dermis turns into baggy after surgical procedure.
