I get tons of threats and warnings (as THE CPT) from believers saying I better fess up and believe or else....

well, quite frankly, the choice of what I believe to be God is mine alone, not yours. So if there is a judgement day, I'll be prepared to come as who I am to engage whatever is store for me. All the voices around me are moot and empty, since they are not God, they are just people like myself looking for answers through different beliefs and perspectives. Some may feel they are more correct than others, but all in all, it's still an empty threat or warning, for they are not God.

My idea of God genuinely respects those who think freely, and who come as they are, and who don't mindlessly obey man-made concepts as God.

I'm prepared also to just 'die' and become nothing. The idea of everlasting eternity seems scary, suffocating and too incomprehensible for me. The greatest relief could very well just be becoming non-existent.

Again, all your demands are empty

I think that is sounds scary too, that is why I am not taking a chance, I will Worship God, if there is no eternity than I am safe and if there is an eternity I am safe there too, why take chances? But that is the way I feel, and you can feel however you want.

You are absolutely free to believe whatever you want. In fact that is precisely the point of why God doesn't come in wrath and force all into submission. The fact that people keep telling you to turn to Jesus (however they say it) is really a reflection of how fervently they believe that you are misguided.

I believe that the Bible is the very Word of God and reveals truth about the way things are. Our attempts to move away from the Bible and make up our own ideas about God are futile. Atheists aren't the only ones who try, though. Many Christians have their own ideas about God that aren't based on the Bible, but on what they believe to be fair or wise in their own thinking. God warns against this over and over again in Scripture.

Yes, you can reject the Bible if you want to and continue to hope that you are correct, but I would strongly suggest that you first thoroughly search it out and test its principles so that you can be sure that it is not truth revealed to you by your Creator.

God Bless.

Wouldn't we all like to just "die" and become nothing. But we don't. We go on to live eternally. Everlasting eternity may seem scary, suffocating, and incomprehensible, but so is a burning, waterless eternity in hell. So you don't believe in hell, meaning what the Bible says about hell you could care less. I would prefer that you don't go there so I share my belief with you. You certainly don't have to agree.

"If religion is based on your decision and God directly, why should I care about all the threats I get in here?"

You answered your own question.

Just say "How interesting" when someone threatens you with hellfire or whatever other dire warnings they feel will scare you into agreeing with them.

I'm with you...I consider myself a "recovering Catholic"...kind of like recovering from alcoholism!!
Because organized religions require money to exist...which none of them want to lose!

Beautifully said. I respect it and completely agree. Never let other people dictate what and how you believe, and never fear threats of what "may be".

Peace!

You shouldn't care, so why dwell on it. If you are comfortable with where you are in life, there ya go!
