This is embarresing. I am a boy and my middle name is Shelley. I dont want to change it because my dad gave it to me. Its his best friends last name. The only reason he called me this is because his best friend named his son our last name what should I do? I always try to hide it and its not a big deal any thoughts?

Don't change it, your dad gave it to you for a reason, my husbands dad gave him the name Jamie Lynn, so he's went through 27 yrs of his life with a chicks name but wouldn't ever think of changing it cause his dad gave it to him.

There is really no reason to have to share this with anyone. You need to put it on offical documents and the sort, but other than that, it isnt necessary to put it out there for all to see.

You will be proud of it later in life and realize how important it was to your dad. Just use your initial if you find it that upsetting at present.
