I want to become a reserve deputy for the L.A. County but after training and everything if i decide i want to be a full time deputy do i have to go back to the academy or what?

The training to be a reserve deputy is the same as for a full time deputy, just tell them your intentions.

You probably do. Do the reserve Deputies go through the full academy or just partial? The officers on my dept if they chose the reserve route get the rudimentary training and NO guns. This is for people who want to technically have police powers but dont have the time to go through the 8 month academy. Majority of reserve officers on my dept are very well off, meaning they are extremely financially stable. They do the police thing for the action. :)

Yes you do, you must complete the county employment application, test for the position, pass a physical agility exam, pass a back round exam, pass psychological exam and successfully pass a full time academy.

Yes, you will prob. have to go through longer training. Best bet is to talk to your Captain about it, and put in an app.
