No need to drain the whole system.
I recommend that you put down a dust sheet to keep dirty water off your carpet and then:-
1/ turn off the valves at each end of the radiator to stop water flow
2/ find a bucket and a flat dish or other water receptacle to fit below each valve
3/Using a suitable spanner or wrench start to undo the connecting nut on the short pipe between the radiator and the valve
4/ water will start to trickle into the dish. Control the flow with your spanner but don't allow the nut to come off the threads on the pipe because you will need to tighten it up to stop the water flowing when your dish is getting full
5/ empty the dish into the bucket and then go back to point 3
6/ when the water is flowing too slowly use the bleeder key to allow air into the top of the radiator and thus to increase the waterflow
7/ when the flow of water stops leave your dish to catch any further drops and release the nut on the other valve gently to allow water to flow into second dish. Be cautious there may be more water to come out than you would expect
8/ when the radiator is completely empty, remove the nuts completely and disconnect the pipes. Tighten the bleeder valve back up
9/ now lift the radiator off the 2 brackets fitted to the wall
10/ turn the radiator upside down before carrying outside to prevent water dripping

When you refit the radiator use a little bit of plumber's tape (also known as PTFE tape) on the thread where you are going to screw the nuts. This will help to seal the joint.
Now open both valves . bleed the radiator and check for leaks.

GOOD LUCK WITH YOUR D.I.Y.
