As a Pass Catholic i guess i never felt the responsibility .I was able to slack on my knowledge of the Word. I could go out and have a few drinks and just not even think about Our Savior..but now as a Born again Christian everything I do , everything i say , everything Im involved with has to be filtered through the word of god.. I guess my best goes at hand with my worst..being able to slack on what I know is right and wrong..As a Past Catholic I guess I miss being Ignorant to the Word of God!...

Mulimah I cant think of one particular reason.. Because to me it was all best things. It was a stepping stone for me. A way to overcome the closed doors, and open new ones. To understand that religion is not about going to a building and finding the answers. It's about knowing that sometimes not finding them is what leads you to more questions, and helps guide you to an understanding that some questions can only be answered when you are ready to know. For me it is all good... I wish you well

Well, I am a Buddhist and loves my religion; I have never thought of being converted into other religion, and I will not persuade other people to convert into my religion. To me, religion is just a philosophy.

I was Chritian before and am Christian now, but left another denoiation. I married into it. But, what I got from it the most, was the knowlede that the only way I was to know God and what HE tell us is to question what others said, and study for myself. I studied myself out of that religion and evneutally the marriage. He didnt live it , only believed it. False religion.
The Bible is Gods word for us, His love letter for us. and if we follow all He says and love Him enough to want to follow what He tells us, we wont go wrong. You cnt have one toe with God and the rest of the foot with the world. KNowing we need Only Gods word was learning from studyying my way out of false religion. Jesus is our example, if we follow Him, we wont go wrong, tho will have bad things. Beause others that wont follow Him bring their stuff to those around them. natural consequences of sin. I am glad you became a Christian, and just know that God will get us thru anything, and make us closer to Him, and stronger in the process. I used to be a weak little person , and Now I am a strong Christian woman, with a wonderful husband. God blesses those that remain obedient to Him. I am anxious to hear the answers of others. great question.....

As a former pagan I'd have to say the fertility rites were the best part of the liturgical year.
Now that I'm a born again pagan and a lot older, the sacramental beverages have become my favorite.
