Prayers are your total trust to the one you are asking favor from. As you pray for the help of an unseen deity, you are putting your mind to your higher consciousness, a certain kind of trust that you will be given the right judgement on how you can solve your problem or get out of your present predicament. The power of prayer is not merely like asking for magical miracle like a genie coming to the rescue, that is a childish concept of prayer. Although there are times with some bit of luck some prayers are answered like the falling manna from heaven.
The power of prayer can be as strong as the faith you will never imagine.

The Scripture says, "The effectual, fervent prayer of a righteous man availeth much." It doesn't mean that God only listens to prayers from righteous people, for if it did, then no one since the day of his Crucifixion could be saved. But, it does mean that prayer is important to build faith, ask God honestly to perform a work that you cannot do on your own, and etc...In other words, there's power in DILIGENT prayer!

Prayer is a powerful act of humility. Prayer heals, corrects, convicts, instills truth, peace, joy, and most important, Love.
Your communication with God is through prayer. The world can be changed through prayer.
I don't start my day without prayer, or end my day without prayer.
Please pray if you're not already.
God answers prayers!

i believe so. yes.
i know that some prayers may seem small, and unworthy, but they might mean everything to the other person that you are praying for, or to the thing that you are praying about.
i have just started praying in the last year and a half, even though i always concidered myself a christian. I have noticed on one or more occasion where my prayer was answered.
do not give up just because you dont get an answer, it took 5 months of praying before i saw anything on one subject. just truly lay your trouble or what have you with the lord, and he will help you.

Yes there is Power in Prayer.
Just like there is Power in the Blood of the Lamb, Jesus Christ. One microdrop of His Blood, cleanse us and seals us... Amen

I think if you pray correctly, prayer works. What people need to understand is that God has a plan for us, and if what we're praying for does not belong in that plan, He won't deter us from our intended path. I prayed for my first marriage to work. I desperately wanted my ex to get help for his abuse and alcohol problems and be a husband and a father to our daughter. When he left, I was devastated, but it didn't take long for me to realize that I was better off without him. And then I met a better man who adopted my daughter and things have been great since. I don't think God left my prayers for my first marriage unanswered because He didn't hear them or didn't care. He just knew better things were coming.
