I don't think it is against the law, but many people could be offended if they witnessed it, so if witnessed it could become an offensive behaviour crime.
Whenever a person wants to, providing they do not cause offence, and providing they drink plenty of water to pass it safely through their bodies, and not become a burden on the health service.
Many vegetarian animals, including rabbits,and guinea pigs, eat some of their own poo, I would imagine poo with meat in would be more dangerous, dogs poo can be very dangerous to humans.
Whenever anyone, or any animal wants to, providing humans do not cause offence to anyone else.

If your stranded on a desert island, not like on Lost, I mean a proper desert island with NO food. But only as a last resort. I think I'd rather starve to death though.

NEVER! POO WILL MAKE YOU POORLY AND TAKES ENERGY AND NUTRAINTS FROM YOUR BODY INSTEAD OF FEEDING YOU THEM.
wHAT YOU DO IS SEARCH POO FOR SEEDS, SUCH AS TOMATO SEEDS, SWEETCORN, AND THEN USE THE POO FOR GOOD FERTALIZER FOR SOIL.
yOU CAN ALSO EAT DANDLION LEAVES, HOWEVER SOME OF THE PLANT IS DANGEROUS TO EAT, SO CHECK WITHSOME ONE LIKE MUM,DAD OR READ A BOOK 1ST.I THINK YOU HAVE TO MAKE SOUP FROM THEM.
