I think you should at least explain why you don't want to be his best man. It will not necessarily change his mind about marrying this woman, but at least it gives him an answer. And a couple of years down the road when he gets divorced (cause if she is that bad, thats most likely what will happen) he'll probably thank you for not standing up for him. I agree with you, not supporting it and not being his best man. Its too bad that people are blinded by love so to speak. My hubby's brother got married to a biotch and 10 years later hes like why didn't anyone tell me not to marry her. She's putting him through the ringer. Its sad to see.

Even if she is nasty you should stand by your friend. You either stand by your friend or watch him not be your friend anymore. Plus the girl that you think is nasty will have to console him about you not being the best man and she will tell him what a terrible friend you are, now do you really want that?

Nothing is wrong with you, But as a friend you should have told him how you felt. And being chosen for the postion of best man was for his sake not hers. So you really should have put all that bull behind you and support your friend to the max. While remerbing that he made his choice and he will have to pay for his bad choice in a wife and not you..................

You are very wrong. This is your friend and you just stopped talking to him without a reason. You are not a friend at all. It is NONE of your business who he is marrying or if his family approves or not. It is called being an adult and making your own choices.

It wasnt wrong for you not to stand up for him at the wedding because you didnt support it. But it was wrong for you not to explain yourself. You should have had the balls to tell your friend why you made that decision.
