Going to the movies alone can be uncomfortable at first, but go anyways. You'll feel silly to have worried about something so trivial. Watch something that you alone want to watch, like a chick flick, etc. That way, you wouldn't have the urge to want to discuss the movie afterwards. My husband and I like different kinds of movies, so we split up after buying popcorn, it's no big deal. Have fun!

I go alone all the time, and I think it's fine. What I do think is stupid is that people can't seem to do anything independently. Everyone seems to have some sort of dependency problem in which they can't go to the mall, go to dinner, go to a concert or movie by themselves. They always have to have someone there to reassure them that they're wanted. I think those people are weird and pathetic.

I don't think there's anything wrong with it, I usually go alone. You don't need to be with someone to be able to have fun, right? And anyway, as the physicist Richard Feynman said, why should you care what other people think?

no there is nothing weird. You are going to a place to watch a movie where no talking is appreciated. No one in the movies will even know you are there alone. If your fine with it, then go.
I went to see a movie by myself once and it was fine.

Going to the pictures by yourself can be extremely liberating. You can really immerse yourself in the movie without the distractions of a talkative partner or friend and you get the whole popcorn tub to yourself! Mmmmmmm!

Yeah, going to the movies alone is the pits. Your not able to laugh with anyone and you can't really cry on anyone's shoulder when sad parts come.

Whats wrong with that. You want to see a movie, don't let society dictate how we all should do the things we want to do.

Shoot - I go where I please. If I want to go the the movies, and someone's with me - great; and if I'm alone - great. What do you care what other people think?
