Go to the IRS website.

Click Individual (top left). Click calculator.
It will ask how much you've made, how much taxes you paid, ins. deductions. etc.
It will then tell you how much your taxes will be and if you are short or not.
It will even tell you how much more you need to have deducted to cover your taxes.

The best way to estimate taxes is to download the forms and fill out a tax return. If you normally have someone else prepare your return, ask them.

Are you referring to federal tax?
Texas doesnt have a personal income tax.

Yes, go to your local Jackson Hewitt Tax Service office. You can pay a small fee and they will estimate your state and federal tax liability and refunds. Its called the YETP, Year End Tax Planner!
