Judging by what you've seen on the news lately, do you think it's safe to say that a preemptive strike is imminent by Israel?

I agree with you guys, I see every day that he said " wipe them off the earth"
I wouldn't take that lightly even if they were just talking about me personally. I'd have to hit'em hard and hit'em first

It's should be an OUTRAGE TO THE WORLD that this rich tyrant in Iran dare to announce he wants to wipe another country off the planet. WHAT IS THE UN FOR? Is the whole world going to back down and let these possessed guerillas rant on with their threats to humanity??????? This is like a nightmare coming to fore.

Israel is a nation smaller than half of the entire commonwealth of Pennsylvania, and I have seen their military statistics. Their Air Force, though much smaller in number, is considered the most highly skilled battle battalion in the world. It's not a religious thing to say that any time that Israel has been threatened, they have beaten the tar out of their attackers. We all witnessed this year how powerful Israel is when they obliterated virtually 100% of a Lebanese based terrorist organization. They were invaded by several much larger and more heavily populated nations in 1967, and they walked away with an unconditional surrender from every single one of them in only seven days. No American soldier lifted a finger in either war, save for moral support. They buy our weapons and know how to use them better than we do. If Iran doesn't end their nuclear program diplomatically, you can kiss the program goodbye regardless. I don't know about any of you, but if a man came up to me and said his sole purpose in life is to wipe me off the face of the earth, I would do anything in my power to prevent him from having the capability to do so. Even if that would mean going on the offensive, I would save myself.

Iran is a tricky place. Israel has proclaimed that it has the right to protect its country. If Israel doesn't want US support, they will attack Iran. There is no way that the US can support Israel on a preemptive strike.

Maybe...Israel is surrounded. IF they are pressed their only option is to take out ALL of their enemies and hope that enough of them survive..the old "in for a penny/ in for a pound ...and the "if I go down- you go down with me!" concept
--Isreal with or without help ..will NOT go gently into the night....
Besides wiping the country ISRAEL out does NOT remove Jews from the earth .. wonder if the Muslims figured that out yet???

No - that would be a step too far and it would justify Iran's attempt to get nuclear technology.

Israeli Government are a bunch of appeasing wimps. They would rather kiss Iran's azz. I don't think that current administration will have the balls to attack. If they elect their Netaniyahu, or Liberman, than I could see them handling Iran the way it should be handled.
