Here is what we believe about god these words are from the quran:
say:"He is Allah the one".
"The self sufficient master whom all creatures need."
"he begets not, nor was he begotten"
"and there is none co-equal or comparable unto him"
Quran 112:1-4
is that really hard to understand?.This is the basis of our belief and unless you understand this you cant really understand Islam.
Remember islam is perfect but not all muslims practice it properly.
Why do people keep trying to find faults with islam when its such
a beautiful, faultless religion?.

hey ,these verses are one hundred percent authentic and they have been untouched/unchanged for a period of 1427 years, we dont deny that christianity or judaism originated before islam but youve gotta admit that some of your theories-so many actually conflict with others, and most christians dont deny that the bible was changed.
We believe that christianity-if this is the term you use to refer to what was sent down to jesus- was pure but was changed and adulterated to be what it is today.
We believe the same about Judaism.
Jesus and Moses, we believe, were both prophets of Allah but what they reavealed was changed which is why Allah sent down prophet Muhammed(sal) to send down the final revelation.
The quran sends down the perfect revelation and confirms what came before it.There is no real evidence to support your claim that the quran was changed, but there is plenty and more evidence that clearly shows the alteration of the bible.

Islam cannot be forced on anybody because intention is extremely important in our religion-that is all good we do has to be for Allahs sake and Allahs sake alone, how can this be fulfilled if someone was forced into religion?.
and about womens rights-islam gave women their rights way before the west did its just that anything that can be shown in a negative way is shown as such.
didi you know women also can divorce men at their dissatisfaction although divorce for petty reasons is discouraged for both parties and a man cannot beat a woman unreasonably ever!. and the quran clearly says "..........beat them lightly but do not transgress the limits........" here beating means a light tap and nothing more than that. In fact the prophet(sal) strongly discouraged such abuse and he was never known to beat or raise his voice to any of his wives.

Each one's religion is beautiful to him...
God has delivered Truth to people as per their mental evolution
Anyone who thinks, only his religion has the ultimate Truth is ignorant.
Tell others about Good things of Islam and try to learn/understand others Truth too.

Because Islamics here go out of their way to be infuriating, so we fight back.
You like to tell us Jesus is just a prophet and a double died for him on the cross. Well that may be true to you, but it ain't to us!
You like to tell us Islam protects women, like the West and Christianity don't, well what about:
[4:34]
If you experience rebellion from the women, you shall first talk to them, then (you may use negative incentives like) deserting them in bed, then you may (as a last alternative) beat them.
The Koran says you can BEAT A WOMAN, A WIFE.
Wow, what a GREAT RELIGION.
So don't attack us unless you're ready to defend your own!
And if THAT is not a legitimate verse then another reason we are so down on you is IMPOSTERS here leading us to IMPOSTER sites.
Finally, no Islamic has ever denied the Prophet consumated marriage with a 9 year old girl.
We, in Christianity, have problems with our flocks and ministers and Priests, too, but our MAIN MAN doesn't go around doing 9 year olds and WE in the WEST have a problem with that, even though YOU in the EAST may find it acceptable in places.
You want your religion, find keep it. We wish you well with it, but don't try and indoctrinate the weak minded here with the Koran is the NEWEST NEW TESTIMENT or we'll fight back and while our own books may not be perfect, the last thing we need is another imperfect book attached to it all!
No one here has problems with normal Islamic questions. Some Muslim ask an Islamic question like some Christian asks a Christian question and we usually don't get involved (I can't speak for the Atheists, they hate us both!)

Enigma, you have to understand that not all people are knowledgeable of Islam or the religion Muslims practice. In fact, the media is what the majority use as a basis for what we interpret as Muslim practices. So, you can see how this can be a very one sided view. We have no other viewpoints unless someone else shows us otherwise. For those of us who have encountered Muslims here in the U.S., even that experience is not always rosy. Also, our education on different culture's religion is not always know (i.e., a confusion by some of Arab and Indian, etc.). Ignorance is not always bliss and if one does not know where to obtain more information, we settle for what is closest (the media or stories from others that we feel are authorities on the subject or someone we trust would not lie to us).
If we have not read the Quran, how can we know it teaches of "a beautiful, faultless religion?"

everyone believes their religion is faultless. i am christian and we get our share of criticism.
it is true i don't know anything about your religion. those quotes are beautiful.
people criticize because of 9-11.
the only thing i did not like was the treatment of woman. i just read too much stories. here at work i see many Muslim families and they seem so full of love for one another. i noticed that the woman always walks behind the man.
when it comes to signing documents the men always do it even though the wife speaks more English than him. but than again alot of non muslim women get treated this way here in the US.
i stand by my word these were just observations and i know nothing about your religion.

People are ignorant and uneducated. If its somethign they weren't raised by or around and do not understand they are likely to put it down, even if they know they are wrong cause of how they are raised. Te morals they are taught. People do not know enough to understand. I can say i don't understand too much, but i took a class where we went to a ceremnony and learned basics of islam, and it really makes you respect it. I think thats another thing, is many people lack respect. They don't realize that hundreds of years ago someone fought so we could all freely believe and they could have the believes and free will thy have, and they take it for granted. Overall tis the golden rule. What goes around comes around, and if thier spirtit is tarnished with ignorance and disrepect, does their opionon really matter? you should fel for them they they cannot understand and have built walls around themselves they will never be able to expereicne what you can.

While many may know nothing about Islam, all it takes to form an opinion is to look at and investigate those who say they represent Islam and Allah.
The vocal terrorists are getting all the media attention and that's sad.
But sadder still is that the alleged peace-loving Muslims remain mysteriously quiet. Few or none denounce the radicals of their faith who promote violence and terrorism.

Okay,I believe Islam is a peaceful religion in a whole.Do me and everybody else a favor right now and call the Mahdi army and tell them to drop their arms and prove themselves beyond a reasonable doubt that they are peaceful.Tell the Shiites and the Sunni's to reconcile their differences.
Call Osama Bin laden and tell him to be a real man and come out in the open and fight or turn himself in.Call whoever is recruiting the suicide bombers and tell him to stop and prove himself worthy of us believing.
I realize I am hitting on the radical side of Islam, but that is what it's going to take in this day and age to convince people.

"Mohammed said, "I was shown the Hell-fire and that the majority of its dwellers are women". Mohammed said, "Bad omen is the woman, the house and the horse". Well, I guess half of the population thinks islam is not a beautiful, faultless religion. "A husband may divorce his wife for any reason." Do you want more?

Because some people show it as a violent religion. People are looking for the LOVE and KINDNESS of God and are finding SOME Representatives of the Islamic faith showing God otherwise.

Actually in my opinion we know a lot about it, It's simply words taken from bible scriptures added to and translated into a different perception that's all, the prophet Mohamed new this and that's how he created the Koran, he simply added his own words not Gods, so in my view you are simply following the words of Christ that have been altered by another individual, and in the eyes of God that's a no no.
