It's not nice, but you may have to put a gate across his door. We've done that for our 2 year old, and whenever she gets up, we reluctantly but forcefully tell her GET BACK IN BED PLEASE!!
Otherwise, you cant go to him, or take him to your own bed. Thats a nightmare you dont want. Tough Love, Baby!
Good Luck

Talk to your child. Make a big fantastic deal about "his big boy bed" and mention it off and on during the daytime. Develop a bedtime routine, and stick to it. If he makes it all through the night praise him with a special treat or a favorite outing. Call the grandparents and have him tell them what a big boy he is! Hang in there because they grow up really fast...allow him to cuddle in the mornings if he comes to your bed quietly....you're gonna miss that sweetie's snuggle in a couple years. Remember as he gets older you will be able to reason with him more and more....what you are going through is normal.Kids naturally go through this phase...IT IS HEALTHY AND A SIGN THAT THEY LOVE YOU!! come on go give him a hug right now!!!

You're probably just going to have to keep putting him back in his bed!! It might take a little while but eventually he'll get the point... Remember that YOU are the parent and you tell him what to do! Good luck

I have no idea! LOL but I wanted to let you know that I am going through the same thing. He won't go to bed in his bed and after he falls asleep and we put him there, he gets up in the middle of the night and comes to bed with us! Frustrating. I'd love an answer to this question too.

keep the same bedtime. You read him a story, Pray and rub his/her back while they go to sleep. Be firm and let them know they have to stay in thier bed. after a while of the same routine they will get used to it.
But even today sometimes I break the rule and let them sleep with me, sometimes they just need to know you are there.

Why not just let him sleep with you? My kids all crawled into bed with me, from time to time, when they were younger. Some more than others (I have 6 kids). They've all turned out to be almost normal human beings.
