Then you may want to get involved in some form of family counselling. Allegations of abuse are very harmful to individuals and can ruin people's reputations. If your brother was truthfully abused by your dad your mother may be just not believing this of her man and finding it impossible to believe at present. The police will do a complete an thorough investigation and may well involve Children's Aid Society or some Child Welfare organization to help them with this. Your brother is obviously in need of some counselling to help him deal with the demons that must be going through his head and as such you can help him to find the proper people to help him through this time of need. Best of luck to you and hopefully your brother will not have to suffer at the hands of your dad any longer.

You will have started a paper trail, that paper trail will need to be followed up by someone - and on top of that you have done what you know to be right, I do not believe that that they will doubt what you say and If for some reason they do don't stop, call anyone who will listen, tell anyone, call the chief of police and ask him why or even the Governor or the news papers and t.v. stations - tell them you are being ignored...They will be forced into action out of shame of not doing there jobs....It sounds silly but it is true, the squeaky wheel gets the oil....the ones who make noise get the help..... don't give up and don't let go you and your brother together are a powerful force and telling the truth may not be fun but it will help you and your brother and maybe someone who just hears your story... don't give up......

The police should be obliged to investigate if there are allegations as serious as this.
If they don't, and you're really sure this is happening, then contact Childhelp (1-800-4-a-child) who should take up the case or point you to a local agency that can help represent you to the cops (I'm guessing you're in the states from how you spell mom). Web address below

the object says witness said the guy seated, fiddling with what acknowledged to be a pistol. The police cordoned off the realm. Waited or perhaps as confronted he develop both hands and fully develop them on the officials. in case you've been the officer(s) who responded, and this handed off, what might want to be your reaction: a million) Wait until eventually the suspect honestly fires at you. 2) Say Halt, placed down the weapon, placed your palms contained in the air. 3) study him his Miranda Warnings. 4) Seeing a conceivable weapon being raised in route of you, expand using rigidity continuum, meet with counter rigidity of a perilous nature? that is hard to placed your self right into a topic like this, besides the undeniable fact that that is really ordinary to assert after the truth, like the armchair quarterback, "i might want to have done this?" i might want to have done 2 then 4 besides the undeniable fact that that is hard to assert as i replaced into not there for this tragic journey.

You NEED to tell the police, but it would help if you could convince your brother to do it. Tell him you will stand by him 100%. It doesnt matter whether your mom believes you or not(although she deserves a helluva b*tch slap). The police are gonna question him anyways. If he doesnt want to do that, then you are gonna have to do it yourself. Maybe going directly to children protective services would be better. They are more equipt to understand and see the signs of true abuse.

Go over the local police's head. Do this by contacting The Office of the Attorney General for your state. Their number should be in the govt pages of your yellow pages or phone book. If they can't get it done, they'll refer you who to call.
Don't be afraid to call them. I called them once over an unfair utility bill, and they got an adjustment immediately. Their work is not always miraculous. But on occasion, it is.

Civilian Cops always believe the easiest way out and the parents unless the school and welfare are involved!I would call his school and talk to a councilor if he's in school. By law they have to report under age abuse. I won't put to much faith in your mom. I seen stories where kids were molested for years and there mom's have known.

The police are REQUIRED to investigate. It doesn't matter if they believe you or not. How old is your brother? You can report to Child Protective Services too.

Again, go to a teacher or counsellor at school. Social Services will step in and they'll take both of you out of the home if you legitimately don't feel safe there.
