Hey, wait a minute, who are you to assume I wouldn't have stood up for Jesus, helped him carry the cross and died with him? How do you know I would've just sat back and been afraid? How do you know I would've bit the first apple Adam and Eve took?
Maybe I would've done whats right and stood up for Jesus, maybe I would've been less of a chicken s.hit than his apostles and helped him? Why am I being punished and assumed I'm a bad person that is guilty of sin and evil?
I'm not perfect, but truly do care about other people and try to make the right decision. I don't hold much ill contempt for others and try to understand their angle of perception before condemning them because they think differently than myself.
I mean, how can I be blamed for questioning God and Jesus if I wasnt' even alive to see him or meet him. Why should I be convinced a man-translated book has all the answers? Wouldn't Jesus and God want me to be suspicious of works not done by them for certain?

It makes no difference how "good" of a person you are. Adam and Eve sinned and that sin is passed down to every person. We are all sinners and in need of forgiveness.
Have you ever looked a person other then your spouse and thought, I would like to have sex with them? Or have you ever hated anyone? Have you ever told a lie, even a little white lie, still a lie? Have you ever taken anything that did not belong to you, even time at work, other then brake time that you were not working? All these are sins, so if you have ever done any of these then you are admittedly a sinner, and in need of a savior.
Jesus came to forgive all sins, but we must first accept that we have sinned, and need to be forgiven.
Not one person has ever been good enough to enter Heaven on their own. The Bible says," All have sinned and fall short of the Glory of God." "Salvation is a gift that cannot be earned so that no man no not one can boast and say I did this or that to get to Heaven." "There will be many on the day of judgment that will say 'Have I not done or that for you, was I not a good person, and helped the poor and needy' and Jesus will respond depart from me I never knew you" meaning that if you do not have a relationship, like a best friend, with Jesus then you will not be aloud into Heaven.
There are more scriptures if you would like.

The conclusion isn't hasty. A cursory look at every human being around you, including yourself, will lead you to conclude that everyone sins.
It may require more than a cursory look to come to understand that we need saving. This requires one to look at God instead of at people. It is this search that generally is not done in haste.
You wouldn't have done anything to save Jesus. To pretend that you, a person, could have saved God is prideful and insane.
If you read the New Testament and came to understand exactly who you are and who you aren't, and who God is, then you'd know this. Study what Peter went through in denying his Lord and Messiah. Tell me that you are more capable and more loving of God than he, and then perhaps we'll have a conversation.
Your admission--"I'm not perfect"--is all the evidence you need. "I'm not perfect," means, "I am a sinner who is not God."
Moreover, you do condemn before thinking. You have already, this morning, condemned God as being insecure.
You can't be blamed for questioning God and Jesus. What you can be blamed for is questioning God and Jesus and determining that they are liars. You can also be blamed for thinking yourself to be capable of virtue apart from the grace of God.
As for why you should be convinced that a man-translated book has all the answers--that is your choice. But don't ask people to convince you. Ask God. He will let you know, if you seek him in earnest. Plus, you may just wish to inspect the fallciousness of your own logic. Have you never learned anything from a man-translated book, or do you just think that all books contain B.S.? I would imagine that if you read a book by Camus or Tolstoy, translated from the French and Russian into English, you wouldn't be so quick to denounce it because it had undergone translation. Or maybe you would, who knows. But in any event, there's no comparison. You are either willing to believe that the Bible is the inspired Word of God or you aren't. No person will convince you of this. This is one of those things that you take before God in humility and ask for guidance about. If you never get around to doing that, that's fine. But you'll be on the outside looking in, making your judgments and condemnations as you see fit, remaining apart from Truth by your own choosing.

Hasty generalization? You said it yourself: "I am not perfect". What do you suppose sin IS? Here's another generalization: All Fishes are Wet. If they're not wet, they're dead, or will be soon. All sinners have 'missed the mark' and as a CONSEQUENCE need to be saved, or else they will miss out on Heaven.
The fact that you are NOT perfect proves that you would indeed have done just as badly as Adam or Peter. Maybe worse. If you can't handle your OWN life perfectly, how do you expect to handle someone else's? Beware of Pride. That was Satan's error.

You said it yourself. You're not perfect. None of us is perfect. God commanded us to "Be perfect as I am perfect." This command is impossible for us. That's the whole point. The law is there to show us that without Him, we are incapable of living a life of perfection that He must have in order to be in relationship with us. He is a perfect God. Jesus took our place and died for our sins. God accepts Him as the perfect sacrifice and we are able to enter into His presence again.
It is good that you try to do good. But it doesn't save you. You have still sinned. Jesus said that He is the only way to the Father. A relationship with Him is all that counts in the end. Doing good is good either way, but it is not the criteria. A relationship with Jesus as Lord will cause us to live our lives in the way He wants us to live. Even after "salvation" we do still sin. There is grace in Christ to keep moving forward and trying to do better.

You already answered your own question - "I'm not perfect." That means that you DO sin from time to time. Read the 10 Commandments. They are a mirror for us, they tell us what sin is. If you have ever broken even ONE of those in your life, then you are guilty of sin and deserve to die. Thankfully, Christ paid that death penalty FOR you. All you need to do is accept His sacrifice on your behalf, start obeying Him and you can go to Heaven.

i think you are a little mixed up. first of all Christians say that we are all sinners in need of saving because a sin is something that you have done wrong. any thing that you have done thats wrong is a sin. and because humanity sins all the time we need someone to save us from our sin, and thats Jesus. he gave his life for us when he died and he washed away our sin. but thats only if we accept him.
even if you do some thing with the best intentions, and its wrong, its still wrong.

I can appreciate your honest questions, but I didn't write the Bible. Men wrote it as they were carried along by the Holy Spirit. God is the true author of the Bible and every thing in it is TRUE.

I never did categorize in that fashion.
St. Paul did: "All have sinned, and come short of the glory of God". (Rom 3:23)
I'll stick with that. Good enough for Paul, good enough for me.
As for you....that's between you and God (and His Glory).
