Global warming has happened many time before it just didn’t have creatures living on it at the time that where under the dilution that they were not part of the equation. As long as there is a want of money and power there will be people who think they are better then the rest of nature and have the right to do what they want regardless of the consequences. With that said the best we can do is if you care then do your best to make a difference. Do what ever you can as an individual to make it a better world. Global warming will grow unchecked our governments have proven time and time again that they are not interested in helping. So it is up to those who care to try and make the eventual climate change that will happen faster than the norm, to be one that we as part of the collective life of this planet can all survive.

That's a good point, however, while it is up to individual people to make a difference we all need a collective effort. I think it is up to the people to also demand that their respective governments make it a priority. Those that have the most power and say are not governments nor big corporations, no the power is in the hands of the people themselves. To save this world the government must take an interest, they must care and they must take action. The citizens of the world must force the hand of their governments in order to decrease the increasing speed of global heating. We don't have 50 years...we only have 44 before 2050. We all have to work together NOW.

Yes it's a very sad situation because the United States is one of the biggest polluters, yet all President Bush cares about is letting our people die in Iraq. What happened to Rumsfeld? Little bit guilty huh? We basically have 40 years of life left on this planet.

Global warning has been on the news lately and has shown what is happening in Iceland. I happen to agree with you that the best we can do is for us to do the best that we can to make a difference. This is a great question with great ideas.
