Well it's not going to be easy is it!
I have a lot of respect for Jamie in attempting to tackle the problem in the US, so yes, I think it's a great idea.
I just hope he gets the publicity, coverage and support from the American people.

i'm a instructor, and have self assurance me, the variations that have been made to the dinners are an extremely sturdy concern. maximum dad and mom could be horrified in the event that they could have seen what the youngsters have been being given previous to the variations - at my final college it became into not uncommon to work out a newborn being given 1 / 4 of a sandwich and a dollop of mashed potato, and not the rest. The foodstuff became into undesirable and the parts have been too small, and the dad and mom have been paying £7.50 each and every week. i will understand that there could be some resistance to the variations by making use of the youngsters, as they don't seem to be in the habit of having lots of judgements, or making healthy foodstuff possibilities. it is going to take time and encouragement for them to come again around to the belief - yet in the long-term that's a transformation it is needed till we could desire to advance a rustic of risky blobs. i could motivate your brother to adhere at it for slightly longer if I have been you, to furnish it a honest attempt. If he somewhat does not like them after one million/2 a term working example, then permit him take a packed lunch, despite the fact that it may certainly be a sturdy thought to help him to enhance the habit of arising healthy foodstuff possibilities. wish this enables!

Yeah, they could stick him in Guantanamo for terrorism, the food he comes up with terrifies me! :) Why has he taken it upon himself to try to skinny up the world? Nothing to do with the millions he'll earn while he's there then? And did anyone notice that since he hit the big time in the UK that he became a bit of a bloater himself, so his food must be pretty calorie laden anyway which kind of defeats the object.

I sure hope he can have an impact over here. There have been several efforts made to change the food in schools but they have mainly been small localized efforts.

Considering what I've seen of school lunches over here, it's all good. Right now, the alternatives are "unappetizing junk food" and "unappetizing and marginally healthy.'

Yes, but he'll have a tough job on his hands. The parents will need educating first, as a lot of them are extremely greedy and fat.
