These flights don't just fly over they stop at various bases and meet with our troops and inspect facilities for various treaty obligations and we do the same the Russians won't get home until November 19. Our people did there inspection in October. This is nothing to worry about in fact you should be glad as this system lowers the level of mistrust between the USA and Russia.

This has been going on for a couple of decades. Of course since the cold war ended a while ago I suspect that they are going to be spending more time 'inspecting' the casinos in Las Vegas than observing our missile fields.

well it's a treaty between the former cold war enimies to ratify to each other that each is keeping it's word on the nuclear and arms treaty. unfortunatly the u.s wants to restart the cold war by deploying thier missile shield in poland and selling f-16 fighters to poland, all this is against the treaty.

Trust but Verify, they say. We're flying over russia to check them out, let them do the same. We're relatively friendly these days, why not?

They just wanna make sure we are still here. I'd rather have an Open EYES program than an Open Skies one, but that would mean those who voted for liberals would have to WAKE UP!!!
