No, but I would guess that if you are more intelligent you are less likely to take your religion at face value and more likely to dig deeply into its history and philosophy.

Albert Einstein may have been Jewish, mirage, but he could not help that - he was jewish by birth. he shared spinoza's view on God (i.e. a kind of pantheism)

I think it is true, sometimes. But it depends on why you're believeing. Intelligent people often feel more need for a purpose in life than less intelligent people. But if you're believing because of all the good stuff, or to explain things, or cuz you cant form youre own morals - youre less intelligent

I do think it's true - but only to an extent. There is an integration (in thinking) factor and an interest factor. Some are unable to believe that truths found in our world pertain to spirituality (integration factor) - and for good reason, people were not even allowed the information(even the bible) to question the church until later history. The church invested a lot of time, effort, money, murder to ensure that even thinking some thoughts were/are taboo. Some are just flat out uninterested in using any creative thought when it comes to religion - tradition all the way.

Keep thinking compartmentalized, and you can rule with the borrowed power of God.

No, there are some very intelligent people that are very religious. It depends on how much and what kind of education you get. The more educated in secular fact based science, the less religious. The less educated with bible schools and church dominated social life. The more religious.

False. However, more educated people tend to be less spiritual.

Intelligence measures your brains processing power. While education relates to the quality and quantity of what you have learned. Brain power alone doesn't affect religious beliefs. However, the need for spirituality decreases with a quality education. I.E., The more you know about the world, the less you need to explain things with 'God did it.'

Being spiritual means you view the world around you in terms of divine creation. i.e., God made all the little flowers and birds. But religion as a whole is more than just spiritually. Religion also provides a sense of community and shared experience. Gathering at church on Sunday, for example, also reminds us that we all need to share this same small planet. And no amount of education will change that fact.

There are numerous studies that show a correlation between atheism/theism for both IQ and raw academic acheivement. Though for the individual, there is a choice, and you may find a 90IQ individual with atheistic ideals and a 220 IQ individual with theistic ideals, the statistics remain: The higher the IQ or Amount of Education, the lower the chances of theism and the higher the chances of atheism.

There is a study that shows that the higher your IQ, the more LIKELY you are to be an atheist. This does not mean anything on the level of the individual, and it is a mistake to make any conclusions about a person's intelligence based on their beliefs.

The Royal Society has similar results as well as the Australian counterpart (forget the name)

I love how the really smart one are quoting bible verses that tell us to dumb it down and just believe and you will somehow be "smarter"

believing in any kind of religion doesn't mean you are not intelligent. i think what you are saying is, the more educated a person is, the more he/she is going to explore the religious paths and will try to find WHY people have to believe in something after all.

Having an astounding training, does no longer make you clever. I left college at sixteen, yet have a intense IQ that qualifies me to connect MENSA. Than aside,it does look that an astounding sort of those that paintings with their brains (scientists, engineers etc) do no longer believe in God, it is through fact they paintings with info, info, certainty and reason. There in line with probability no info or info that a God exists. yet billions of folk believe, which seems an excellent adequate determination. I persist with no particular reason
