Dump the guy. He told you AFTER you had sex, which shows his motives clearly ... he wanted "some".... know what I mean? You had a right to know BEFORE having sex and to make your own decision.

I do not believe the "safe-sex" thing that the government tries to sell us. Condoms are not 100% effective with regard to pregnancy. A woman can only get pregnant a few days out of the month. STD's are spread to either the man or the woman anytime of the month, and the virus/bacteria that cause the diseases are smaller than sperm. Condoms deteriorate from body heat and can break. They can have weakened areas. You do not know how they were transported ... such as in a hot truck in the summer (remember that heat deteriorates the latex!). If he had the condom, where was he keeping it? In a wallet in his pocket? That amount of body heat can wreck it.

Anyway, you need to seek medical advice and be tested. Dump the guy and take care of yourself. If you get the disease, get a lawyer. He knew he had it and had no right to withhold that information from you, and give you a disease.

Best Wishes,
Sue

It is transmitted through sex. If you used a condom you should be ok. I would definetly go to the doctor and get checked, hpv can cause cervical cancer. Hpv sometimes has no symptoms so you need to see a doctor asap. You should not even consider staying with this guy, this is something he should have told you way before you even had sex.

HPV is incredably common. Most people have it. Mothers can pass it to their children during birth, even. This site won't do you any good on the details, but the info is all over the web. Just look it up.

Seriously, HPV is no big deal as long as you get it checked on. And NO, people here are sort of morons, you can't sue the guy if you get it. For all you know, you already have it.

First of all, dump him because he knowingly put your health at risk. If he had any sense of compassion or true feelings for you, instead of thinking with his member, he might have told you about the HPV before intercourse. Nonetheless, I'm glad you found out. It is treatable, especially if you know about it and catch it early. Don't delay on making a doctor's appointment because it can be detrimental to the cervix (even cancerous) if it goes without treatment. Don't panic, just go to the doctor ASAP so you can get rid of it before it does any real damage. Be encouraged and try to wait longer to get to know a person before sharing your cookies. You're worth it. Best wishes.

NO i would not stay with him, that should have been something that he told you BEFORE you had sex. HPV can cause cancer and other side effect. If you are infected you could get genital warts (that is what HPV is) or cancer displasia and many other things. If I were you I would get rid of this a.s.s.whole and go to the gyno asap

Its wrong for this guy not to have told you that he had an STD before you had intercourse. If hes not telling you that. What other things is he keeping from you?Drop him like a hot potato. While your chances are not as high of getting hpv being protected. It is still possible.See your Doctor right away.I would also report this guy to my local Health Department. Good Luck

About 80% of young women who are sexually active in college will get some form of HPV. You can get tested at your OBGYN but usually your body fights off the infection yourself and you are fine. I say though that because the guy was not honest with you before you slept together then he is not worth your time. What else might he lie about in the future?

DUMP HIS A$$

he should have told you before you had sex, regardless of using a condom. If he has an outbreak outside of the area protected by his condom, you might still be able to contract it. I would even consider a lawsuit. Any respectable and mature adult confides this information BEFORE the sex act so that their partner can decide what is best for them.

You might want to visit your gynecologist to discuss this and get tested. And then slap him with the bill for the check up.

If you stay with him then you definitely qualify as a sadist. You are never safe from STD's if you have sex. Hopefully this a$$ didn't infect you. If it happens again don't expect the luck to protect you. Of course until you know hopefully you won't have sex with anyone else. You surely must realize that this man is someone you can never trust in anything,,,,,.ever!
