yeah I agree. we sent our child to one but he did not like it as he prefers order over chaos. but it is best for some others who cannot behave well. it cuts the little shavers some extra slack but still teaches them art and history and manners etc. i like their values and methods my way of respecting my child was to allow him to choose. he chose public school and did well. ( he graduated from Cal-poly 5 years ago and has a good job and a home and a stable life. he never borrows money etc but is doing well.)
as a small boy, He liked it for the teacher to tell everyone to sit down and shut up and follow the rules. he could learn better that way and he wanted to learn. he has always been that way. different srokes for different folks I guess.

Well to tell you the truth I would by far rather homeschool any of my kids. When I went to school it was so utterly painful I could only bloom to my full potentical at home. That's what I'd do and I think you should consider that too.

I like Montssori for his outside education. I want him to be free formed there.

We are structured and have home lessons as well.
At home we are very provincial so he gets both.

Best wishes.

Your argument is valid, only if you went to a montessori school yourself.
