i have worked with adolescents and adults with ocd. you cannot get through this alone. you need to be on meds that help control your obsessions and compulsions. and you need to be under the care of a psychiatrist. there are very good behavioral modification techniques you can learn to help to keep your ocd under control. if you don't seek professional help, your ocd behaviors can branch out to many other behaviors, that will greatly reduce your ability to live a "normal" life. there are also great support groups where you can establish friendships with other ppl who have the same issues as you, and can help you in many different ways that will be beneficial in your daily functioning. it sounds like you are having a tough time and want to get better, so that in itself is a step in the right direction. be an active participant in your therapy. i hope you have friends and family who are empathetic and supportive for you, and who will encourage and help you through your process. best of luck to you.

People suffering from OCD are usually compulsively clean.

Consider mental re-programming. There is an excellent book by hypnotist Paul McKenna called "Change Your Life in 7 Days".

Pubic hair has been linked with uncleanliness for eons. Consider removing it, thereby changing the appearance of your body. Wear gloves if it irritates you so much. Use a product like the Seiko Cleancut shaver and Shavy trimmer to remove pubic hair. A cleanly shaven pubic area definitely makes people feel cleaner.

Ryan, no one here can give you the help you need. Only a professional can effectively help you deal with OCD. Do what's best for you and ask your doctor for a referral to a specialist.

This is more of a moral upbringing issue it seems to me. You can't give yourself germs. You were probably taught that touching yourself was dirty. And to most people, it is a little dirty. But as long as you remember that you can't touch anything that soap and water won't wash off , you will be fine to go on being obsessive copulsive by washing your hands alot.

You've got to have a serious talk with yourself. Surely you can reason in your own mind that it is not "dirty"? Go on, treat yourself and risk it for a biscuit!

Chop it off and pour acid on your pubic hair.

All problems solved in 1 !!

First off you will have no penis to touch, and second acid should get rid of pubes forever !!
