That is the best thing I have heard in a long time. Unfortunately some nut ball leftist will try and have it overturned. Until every Town, City and State decides that Yes, we will obey the laws of the land and prosecute and penalize anyone that assists any criminal activity, we will continue to be infested with crime and leaches. I truly hope that we can end this criminalization of our civilized society (what's left of it) and then once again become the Proud Patriotic law abiding citizens that the great UNITED STATES OF AMERICA stands for.

I think that this was a great move and one that will hopefully lead other towns & cities to follow suit. I do think that they are at a thin line making decisions that some people say should be left to the federal government, but when the government isn't working maybe it is time to try something else. For those of you who think that this is hateful or unconstitutional, the new laws are not against immigrants, only ILLEGAL immigrants, there is a difference. Also where in the constitution does it say that legal American citizens should lay down and let illegal citizens walk all over them. And as far as the official language thing, as an immigrant you are agreeing to assimilate into our culture and our culture is English speaking. This is our language and way of communication. Refusing to learn the English language leads to a break down in communication. We cannot be united as a country if we are not united in language.

Did you know that in Houston, TX, police are told not to bother with illegals. My husband was in a car accident with an illegal Mexican who had no insurance or driver's license and the police did nothing. This is a major problem. We are a melting pot nation, but it was always done the right way, the LEGAL way. Now everything is written in at least two languages, especially in schools. I wonder how much time, energy and money that wastes. We need to protect our country and punish the criminals, and that's what they are.

I don't know if it's true, but if so, then I'm all for it, I wish all the cities and towns in this country would allow the citizens of that city or town to vote for these kind of things. I'm sure it would be costly, but can't be nearly as costly as having to support everything they exploit, like welfare, social services and our educational system. Not that I'm against them getting an education, I just feel it's a burden for the taxpayers to have to pay for their kids to get an education while they sit back and collect under the table and don't have to contribute in any way. At least if we could deport them and their kids(whether they were born here or not), our money could be going to other problems this country has.

I have a little problem with the rental part because what if the person is legal but has a hard time getting their paperwork? Not having a place to live is tough.

The other parts I'm completely behind though, and I understand their frustration.

Farmers Branch is a suburb of Dallas....

You know that if enough city's do this then the ACLU and the rest of the radical groups resources would be spread so thin that they would be hard pressed to fight them all......Right

It is about time someone passed some reasonable laws dealing
with illegal aliens..
Good for Farmers Branch TX...Congratulations....
We need a Federal Law exactly the same.....
We need a President who will do his constitutional duty and
deport all the illegals and seal our borders...
No President since Eisenhower has properly protected our borders and deported illegals...

i have to say I'm glad a city is trying to do what our government wont do,but i hope it sticks and we don't have bleeding hearts crying they are people too and calling people racist just because we don't want suburbs trashed by immigrants...have any of you been to places in farmers branch?it looks like los angeles, nasty, nasty, and it happens to be where most of the illegals are living and catch rides with business owners looking for immigrants to work for them.i know my response sounds typical but dallas is over run with illegals, and where it is over run with them,it looks like a dump.notice i said try,i seriously doubt that farmers branch has the man power to enforce anything like that.

It's about time, and the people who rent, or hire and "know" these people are illegal, should lose their assets. I also know that the main reason people hire illegals, is because they can be extored, and the illegals have no recourse because they are in fear of being reported, but either way, its time to clean the place up.
