I tried telling my mom that my brother was abused and she didn't believe me. What should I do now? My brother comes home from the hospital TODAY and I DON'T want him to spend another night with my father who has abused him for the past two years. He even (my brtoher) even showed me some scars. What should I do now?

you should go to your guidance councilor or a teacher that you trust if that does not work call child protective services. do not let your brother be around your father alone until you have some help if all else fails call the police and have your brother press charges against this man before its too late and he gets seriously injured good luck and i hope you get help.

Tell someone else. Teachers and principals are required by law to report cases of abuse. Or look up Child Protective Services in the phone book, and call them. The local probate court system will do also.

Tell a trusted adult (teacher, counselor, principal) at school. By law they are required to act on it and get him help! Please do this immediately, for your brothers sake. This can leave long lasting scars, not just on his body, but on his emotional well being. Your Mother is too emotionally invested in your father to believe her own children are being abused by him (this is common). I hope this helps and will say a prayer for you and your brother! Good luck!

You need to go to another grown up like an aunt or uncle, grandmother or even a teacher. Find someone you can trust. You don't want this to happen and your mother probably just doesn't want to believe this could happen. Call the police if and when you have proof.

Call the authorities if you are that concerned about him. Your mother is a sorry person if she won't even listen to the fact that her child is being abused. You must find a way to help your brother if no one else will.

YOU MUST TELL SOMEONE who is trustworthy! Tell a teacher, school counselor, a trusted adult neighbor or relative. Maybe grandparents? or you could always call and make a referral to your local department of health and human resources (child and family services) They are usually under the county phone numbers listing.
