Don't get me wrong... she's a beautiful girl. But she's so much more beautiful when she puts her hair in a nice style, or gets a manicure, or things like that. She (literally) never wears make-up. How do I suggest that she do some of these things without her getting offended? How would you want your boyfriend to let you know? I compare it to having a great car... like a Cadillac. You know you have your dream car, but it would look so much better if it had a nice pair of rims and a good wax job every now and again. Am I out of line or what should I do?

Honestly i don't think you can tell her with out her getting mad, I would be pissed. You will have to tell her or deal with it.

I dont think you're out of line at all. But here's the thing...I dont really know that there is a way you can tell her, without her taking offense. My suggestion is 1. the next time she does get dolled up, make a big deal out of it and how great she looks. or 2. give her a gift certificate for a day at the salon/spa. And just tell her its for a day of pampering. You can make sure the gift certificate includes a professional makeup session. Then again, make a huge fuss over her! Good luck :)

Buy the stuff for her. You want her to get a manicure, tell her that you are treating her to one and give her a gift certificate to get it done or take her to do it.

I dont know about the makeup part. My fiance is constantly telling me that I dont need it and blah blah. I dont know how I would feel if he told me to start using makeup. I think I would get offended...maybe you could say something about how a certain color eye shadow really brings our her beautiful eyes. Compliment her while at the same time hinting about putting something else on.

Oh yeah...just dont compare her to a Cadillac. Not sure she would like that so much. :o)

Well I would take her somewhere nice. A place where she has to dress up. I would tell her that you are taking her somewhere nice and she needs to really dress up for it. You may want to help her out a bit by sooo smoothly telling her that she should get her hair and nails done. Even offer to go to the mall to pick out an outfit. Then when she does do all that stuff, compliment her like crazy. Tell her how beautiful she looks, and so forth. After that she may want to look like that all the time.

I don't think that you are out of line, everybody wants there gf/bf to look good sometimes, just as long as you are not being unrealistic about it....what I mean is, as long as you are not saying that if you guys are just lying around the house that she should get all dolled up!
I think that you should just talk to her about it. Tell her the next time that she gets fixed up that you love the way that she looks and you wish she would get fixed up like that more often, that it turns you on to see her look so beautiful or something like that. If you are just being honest with her then she should appreciate your honesty!

I don't think you are out of line, I think all men want there women to want to get all dolled up every now and again, I really don't know how you would tell her that though with out hurting her feelings, just when she does get all dressed up be sure to really brag on her, and maybe on like holiday or birthday buy her a certificate to get her nail, hair, ect. done. Or if you are walking through the mail and see pretty lipstick or makeup say something like that color would look really nice on you, I like when my husband does that for me and generally I will buy whatever it is he said he liked.

Give her a certificate for a beauy salon and say something like "I do not need to wait for your birthday etc. I want to show u how much I love u now and every day". Take her out more to where she would have to dress up, not McDonalds. HA.Buy her some bubble bath etc.She would really get the hint like I did but it was sooo low, a subcripotion to Playboy.

This is tough one as you said, My ideas would be to say things like remember when you wore your hair like that or wore that, you looked gorgeous that day etc. Or maybe if you have the cash say your going to spoil her and take her out to buy a few bits and then maybe she will were them and you can say how pretty she looks.

She is obviously completely happy and comfortable with you and prob thinks it doesn't bother you any more that shes not dolled up 24/7

Tell her that you got a nice bargain at the local salon with 50% off on 2 manicures, etc...

So you and you girl can have all those manicures and waxings together ;-)

First of all you said it yourself she's beautiful without the makeup, why then would you want her to put it on? Your right you will piss her off or at least hurt her by suggesting she should. I never wear makeup and would never expect a guy to ask me to. I'm naturally gorgeous, girls are either into the hair makeup three hours in the bathroom stuff or they are not. It may seem to you like nothing but it will be a big deal to her. Love her the way she is, or risk hurting her. PS SHE WONT CHANGE THAT ABOUT HERSELF FOR YOU

Humm, just tell how u feel. Tell her u love her but you need you space.[if i had a boyfriend that how i would him 2 tell me] No, u not out of the line.[at first i spell line like lime] [lol i'm funny] Tell her if she want 2 do everything with u let her call u 2 see if u have something 2 do.
