It could be either. If it's your appendix you might need to have it removed. If it's just ovulation, then the pain will pass. It could also be your bowel. Are you going to the toilet regularly? Best get to a doctor though if the pain continues or gets worse. They will be able to tell straight away whether it is your appendix or not.

I asked the hospital this once and was told to take 2 paracetamols and if I still felt the pain a few hours later to come in.
They said that those tablets wouldn't be enough to disguise the appendix pain, but should if it's ovulation pain.
They said not to worry as I didn't have a fever. So check your temp.
For the record, I couldn't stand up with my ovulation pain so it's not necessarily appendicitis if you can't stand up like the other poster said. But the temp is a sure sign.

It could be appendicitis. I would go get checked out for sure. Even if the pain goes away you need to get checked because if it is appendicitis, it will burst and that will make the pain go away for a day or two. It is very dangerous and I would recommend going to the hospital immediatly! Belly area is very hard to diagnose but it has alot of vital organs. Please see a doctor.

take your temp, if its appendicitis you will run a fever, and you will not be able to stand up straight. If it does not stop soon, call a doctor and get that sucker out!

Call your doctor. It could be one or the other, but tests may be needed.
