Cheeky? Let me guess, your from the UK.

Alot of people do that. We have people at where I work that sell spanish food every friday. Just make sure it does not go against any company policy or ruin any inhouse catering contract/vending already set up.

Good luck!

No, some schools hold a charity buffet and all the proceeds go to various charities. You do have to make sure though the food is prepared and packed hygienically wise.

Of course not!!!! Everyone has a right to earn money and I think it's o.k. for you to keep the money for yourself too....although the idea of giving it to charity is lovely!

As for ideas: take a survey of the interested members at your work to see food likes and dislikes. Also, plan your featured dishes ie: veg. chili with salad ahead of time and pre-book orders so you know exactly the quantity you need to make. Also, ask for lots of input as to what dishes people would like to try.
It's a great idea and would add some fun to your workplace. Good luck!

Like a bake sale? Those are fairly common in America.
