Theres a back door draft right now. It's called redeployment. They're sending the same people back time and again to avoid a draft. HAVE GUN WILL TRAVEL is full of cr*p. There will be a draft but george DUBBYA will not do it. He will put it off so the next guy will have to do it. That way he can say he didn't do it. The last draft they had consciences objectors. You would get drafted but not put in a combat situation so you wouldn't have to kill. Mohamed Ally refused to step forward so they took his right to box away from him until his appeal was over. HE WON! Imagine taking a mans way of earning living away from him. Most of these blow hard Republicans are all for the war now. But waite until the draft starts and there child might be put in harms way. Then watch them change there tune.

In the draft for Vietnam, the rules were set, and many did refuse, either by fleeing the country or by enrolling in college (an "out" at the time). If another draft were initiated, the rules would most likely be different.

However, as a citizen of this country, all males once they turn 18 years of age must enroll in Selective Service, which makes one eligible to be considered for the draft if needed. It is a necessary step in making sure the freedoms we've acheived thus far are maintained.

The draft is always a last resort, and luckily has not been necessary (and as technological advances in warfare increase, becomes less and less likely with each passing day). However, avoiding the draft through illegal means is still illegal. Anyone can refuse to go to war, they just have to be willing to pay the consequences (i.e. jail time in many cases).

Hope this helps.

your female so the draft doesnt apply to you. you need to use spell check also. the draft which is not in effect. drafts men 18 to age 35 i believe. not real sure. if the draft was reinstated, which is not likely only men who are signed up through selective services would be called.no women. religious beliefs wont matter. they dont really care. they have chaplins in the service. you can believe in peace all you want but if your called up you either go to war or go to jail for failure to follow orders

I suspect that like Vietnam, people firmly opposed to the war would begin to seek asylum in Canada if the draft was reintroduced. Some would happily accept the call and some would take it because it was better than their current circumstances or simply because they had no choice.

If they have a draft, you can thank the democrats. If it doesn't include women then I say all men should refuse to go.

You can file for concientious objector satus. They may or may not approve. This is as far as I know only considered based on religion.

What are you trying to say? Obviously, English isn't your native language, or if it is, you skipped a lot of classes).
