I understand, since moving here to CA. the dryness here has really had an impact on my hair and I've had more dandruff and dryness than I've ever had due to the change. My hair is healthy but is in constant need of moisture. And I tried using Head N' Shoulders but I was a little disappointed because all it seemed to do was coat my hair and didn't cleans my scalp of the dandruff. I had to wash my hair all over again and I used Paul Mitchell's Tea Tree Shampoo. Tea Tree is really good for cleansing the scalp of dandruff, toxins, product build-up...etc. that is on the hair and scalp and is so healthy for your hair. My stylist uses it first when she's shampooing and conditioning my hair. Paul Mitchell's Tea Tree Shampoo cleans my scalp and hair really well and it's gentle enough for me to use every week to control my dandruff. I follow it with Cream of Nature Ultra Moisturing Shampoo afterwards. And once a month, I do hot-oil treatments with Extra Virgin Olive Oil. My stylist told me to put pure Jojoba Oil on my scalp to keep it moisturized, so I use Organic Roots Stimulator Jojoba Oil. It's light and not heavy greasy feeling at all. I also use their Olive Oil too and it's wonderful. I then wrap my hair up in a silk/satin scarf to lock in the moisture. Try to avoid anything containing alcohol and washing your hair in hot water. It only makes the dryness worse. Try washing it in lukewarm water and rinse with cold. I still have dandruff every now and then but not as bad as it was, I see a big difference in my hair and scalp. I hope this helps you also.....Good luck.
