Check with a local A/C repairman and ask about a product named: "Freeze 12" It should be a readily available replacement for the R-12. Conversion to R-134 is preferred, however is rather expensive due to mechanical changes that must be made to system.

There is a product called Frigic, that is a direct replacement for R-12. It was produced by a small company Intermagnetics General. I'm not sure if it's still available but it actually slightly outperformed R-12. Hope this helps, and good luck.

R-12 is a certified refrigerant which only sold to lincence refrigerant.....replacement is not placeable......
