Native New Yorkers only -- I'm tired of seeing friends only over dinner and would like to plan some Saturdays (or Saturday nights) experiencing something with friends. I've thought of meeting for a Met scavenger hunt or bowling at Bowlmor lanes...any other fun ideas? (Nothing touristy b/c we all live here!) We're all about mid-30s in age, if that helps...

You might want to check out Watson Adventures - they do really cool scavenger hunts here in NYC:

Something else my friends and I keep saying we are going to do is to take Trapeze lessons at the school that is down on the Hudson. They made the school "indoors" by tenting it, so you can do that all year round now!

Also - MOMA is open until 8:00 on Friday, and it might be fun to meet there and then stop by the Modern for cocktails and discussion.

Try an off broadway show....that's not considered touristy.......since I do it with friends every so often........
Mid-30's....why not meet in Central Park and go roller blading? U can rent roller blades at "Roller Blades East" off of 73rd or "Roller Blades West" also in the 70's on the west side.
U can also rent bikes there.....so perhaps bike riding in central park.......further uptown is nice to take your bikes....very pretty and you can catch the locals on horseback as well.
Another interesting thing to do is to take a boat ride by the South Street seaport.....you can call in advance and arrange for you to meet at the pier there....one of the sailboats that sails there regularly is "The Pioneer".......you and your friends can bring some wine and pack a little food for a 3 hour trip......they have sunset tours and afternoon tours.......it's a great way to relax and mingle with your friends and it's inexpensive too.

I spent maximum of my existence attempting to verify what to do in Manhatten and that i grew to become into born there too. whilst i'd desire to get people to go out with me working around my time table, all all people ever had to do grew to become into visit the golf equipment and being a NYC bartender for years, it grew to become into only in no way my concept of exciting. I desire the Opera and the theater. this is the appropriate in the international! Why not take income of it. you're very fortunate to be there and have it. Shakespeare in the park The scavanger hunt sounds incredibly exciting! and then back there is often vintage looking in CT or NH. Why stay in the city whilst there is a lot attractiveness and custom so interior sight?

Shopping is always fun. you can go clubbing as well. If the season is right you could go to a Yankees or Mets game. Central Park is always nice to go to. Also the Statue of Liberty and Empire State Building. If you go there, Macy's is right down the block so go shopping!
