You are right, it is a bulls*t ... they brainwash you that you get into different world. They brainwash you to make you coming to the church and make donations. They are always in need of money. It's all about money.

I completly disagree. First of all, I can not prove that God is real, but you can not prove the He isn't. It is a matter of faith. We are not supposed to have proof. If everyone knew God created the universe and such, there would be no need for Him or faith or believeing in Him. It is completely a matter of faith. You just have to believe. Second of all, evolution is the only way scientists can come up with how the Earth was created and how we got here. The idea that This whole huge planet formed from a few specks of dirt, and that we evolved from primates and so forth, is simply ridiculous. If I was hit by a bus a splattered into a million pieces I know without a doubt, that I would be in the prescense of God in Heaven. It is a matter of believing. You have to believe it. Religion causes problems in the world becuase people disagree. People disagree orver everything. Don't blame religion on the world's problems. But as the matter of proof and such... God doesn't want you to know He is real, He wants you to believe He is.

I was raised a Christian, but I have to admit, I have doubts all the time. I want very badly to believe that there's something out there beyond this life, but logic keeps telling me that it's really a primitive sort of thing to believe in otherworldly beings and places. Then again, the side of me that wants to believe keeps telling myself that if there's no more powerful being out there, then where did LIFE come from? How did it go from being just a bunch of chemicals bumping together to actually having life, and awareness, and feelings? My heart tells me that SOMETHING had to breathe life into the first living cells. It's so confusing to me. I can't say that I know for sure that there is a higher power out there, but I try to just have faith that maybe there are some things that we just could never understand. I can say that I don't really believe that any higher power (if there is a higher power) is necessarily what we were always taught that it was. I don't really see it as a being that demands that we get down on our knees and worship it. I guess it's just one of those things that we'll never know about until we die. As for religion being a CON, I don't think it's necessarily a CON. I think it is a desperate need that's existed since the beginning of human life to feel that we're being taken care of...to help quell the natural fear of death, and to help cope with the loss of loved ones.

I agree with you in saying that all religion is a 'con' because all of today's current religions are nothing more than an organized structure of beliefs based on original facts that have been slowly manipulated to relate to selfish individuals' agendas.

I do, however, believe in a divine creator, a person would be naive to believe in scientists' best expalanation of the origin of things, and according to the message that our creator left for us is that nothing happens after the death of person. The christian bible claims that humans are no different than animals when it comes to dying and the afterlife. This is why there is a need for a ressurection in the end. If there were people already in heaven and hell and in some cases on Earth, as ghosts as some believe, what would be the need for a ressurection? Only the divine being that created us to begin with, would have the power to restore our life back to us.

Think about it.

Forget all youve learned of religion and consider this:

Youre a man with no concience and youve lived a life full of pain and hurt other people as well...but you never got caught by the authorities. Then you died.

Or

Youre a man who has been good to everyone all his life...and youve never seen a days happiness all your life...not a single bit of appreciation or love from anyone. Then you died.

According to your trail of thought, the first person has died and has gotten away with what theyve done.

While the second person has gotten nothing in return for the goodness that theyve done.

Look into your head and heart and tell me if such an ending makes ANY sense to you?

There are countless people who die on earth everyday, and every one of them...have been victimized or have hurt others in some way. Do you think that if God didnt exist being good would matter? As good people usually get the least appreciation in life.

Dont you think, that without God, people would try to do as much self serving things as possible cause theyre gonna get away with it in the end?

Wheres the sense?

no count number the way you look at it, faith replaced into made up through human beings. And the really reason it would not look ridiculous to us right now (Christianity, Islam, etc) is because it is been round for see you later, and it is engrained in our minds. Scientology is a sparkling faith, and persons imagine it is wacky, yet that is really as a results of the indisputable fact that's a sparkling theory. I assure you that if Jesus had presented the teachings of Scientology to the global 2000 years in the past, we will be all about it right now. And no, i'm not a Scientologist. i imagine it is wacky too.

There's a wonderful paradox to answer your question. God only exists for death. 'God' has absolutely no influence on our lives on earth - even Christians acknowledge that 'He' doesn't discriminate between believers and non-believers while we are still living. It has been proved that praying for people has no benefit whatsoever for the person being prayed for. The only apparent benefit of praying is for the person praying - to show God what a wonderful caring person you are so 'He' will let you into heaven. So God is for death.
Religion, however is for while we are living. That's what tells everyone who believes in it that they'll be going to heaven or hell. But as you so rightly pointed out, there isn't anything after we die - we just cease to be, and return to the state before we were born - nothingness. As soon as we die religion also dies, and God isn't waiting there after all.

You are a great example of God's design!

God created us to be free thinkers -- this is one of the things that separates us from "your" monkey cousins and all of the other animals. We have the ability to reason! It doesn't mean we will all come to the same conclusion when we reason things out. God lets us be wrong -- it is our choice. HOWEVER, there will be consequences for our discisions/actions.

You are right that without the spirit, our bodies are just matter (hmm... where is it that general evolutionists say our spirit comes from ...lightning or something?). After we figure out that intelligent design is the ONLY reasonable explanation for the complex universe/earth/ourselves, we begin the journey to find God. Many of us that have started that journey have found that the Bible is the only reasonable explanation.

Keep thinking on your own -- don't just believe everything you hear on TV or from people that have not really studied a subject.

As far as Jesus (saviour) being the cause for "most problems the world over ...", you need to go back to your sources (if you have any). Either you do not understand your sources or they are wrong. Jesus never advocated killing people. In fact when Pilot questioned Jesus during his trial, Pilot asked Jesus if He was King of the Jews in which Jesus replied that His kingdom was not of this world. Jesus' body is now gone and we are to worship Him in spirit and in truth. Anyone that kills in the name of Jesus is WRONG -- they are going to hate the judgment day (of course many people are).

Keep thinking! Just don't ASSUME your thinking is always right. Dig deep -- always considering, but not necessarily believing, alternatives.

The only reason there's proof that we evolved from PRIMATES is because SCIENTIST said so. Guess what...scientist are just people. Go to church learn something you'll be happier and you have a better chance of going into heavan when judgment day comes. And the only reason religion causes problems is because those without one like maybe you make problems out of it.

Take a look at The Da Vinci Code (book explains more) - it makes sense, but i am not an atheist though. It may be that there is an Intelligent designer that created us (most call it God) but whether the laws of our universe apply to this creator i'm not sure - meaning is there something else other than this universe/existence.

I don't agree with you. There is no evidence or proof that we evolved from monkeys. The fossil record does NOT support that kind of evolution.
I don't know for sure if there is a God. I may be wrong. But I have lost nothing in believing, and I would do it all over again.
I love God, He loves you, and I love you too. I'll pray for you.
